Reading process is a process in which readers and authors exchange ideas through the text,and it is the result of the interaction between their psychological activities and the text content.The reader's emotion,interest,motivation and sense of achievement are the key factors affecting the improvement of reading ability.Due to the influence of examination evaluation and teachers' ideas,senior high school English reading teaching lacks humanistic attention to learners' emotions and psychology.Classroom teaching lacks interactive process design and effective interactive communication,which affects in-depth learning and affects the improvement of reading ability.This study is devoted to how to promote ‘interaction'in the process of English reading teaching in senior high schools,emphasizing‘question' as the focus,‘dialogue' as the scaffolding,stable structural model and operation procedure as the path and method,and striving to improve the interaction opportunities and frequency in the classroom,improve reading ability and thus improve the current situation.The main problems are as follows:(1)What is the effect of the question-based interactive teaching mode on improving the interaction of senior high school English reading teaching?(2)What difference can the question-based interactive teaching mode make in improving senior high school students' English reading ability?(3)What comments and suggestions do teachers and students have on interactive reading teaching?In this study,120 students from two classes of Laiwu No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province as well as their English teachers and key teachers participating in observing classes are selected as subjects.The methods of experimentation,classroom observation,questionnaire survey and interview were used.Through the tests and questionnaires on the subjects' reading ability,the data were obtained and analyzed by SPSS 23.0.The results showed that the application of interactive teaching mode has greatly improved the interaction opportunities and frequency of English reading teaching.88.9% of the teachers and 80.3% of the students show that the interactive teaching is beneficial to the improvement of their reading ability and learning scores.Through classroom observation,questionnaire and interview,with‘question' and ‘dialogue' being the subject of the analysis,we can draw a conclusion that the application of this teaching model has improved the validity of the interaction and has promoted deep learning.Through questionnaires and interviews,this thesis collects the evaluation and suggestions of teachers and students on interactive reading teaching.They make positive comments and receive the question-based conversational interactive English reading teaching model quite well.The teachers put forward pertinent suggestions about teacher training,teaching method improvement and curriculum arrangement,while students give reasonable advice and express wishes on classroom evaluation,classroom management,student grouping and oral English teaching.These will be conducive to the further improvement and application of interactive teaching model.In the process of applying the new teaching model,this study has gained some relevant inspirations for senior high school English reading teaching.Combining with the new enlightenment and reflection,the author puts forward the prospect of future research.
