A Study On Ye Jiaying's Ci Theory

Ye Jiaying,a Canadian Chinese woman scholar,has worked tirelessly in the teaching and research of Chinese classical poetry for many years.Her works are rich,her explanations are subtle and profound,and her opinions are novel and original.In her teaching and research,Ye Jiaying focused on the aesthetic value of poetry,aiming at exploring the sense of life of poetry.Since she returned to China in 1979 to lecture,Ye Jiaying's discussion on the aesthetic perceptual art life of Ci style has made the domestic academic circles refreshed.Since the 1980s,she has written a series of articles,using some western literary theories to discuss in detail the aesthetic characteristics,evolution and evaluation of Ci style.This paper aims to analyze Ye Jiaying's research on the aesthetic characteristics of Ci style and the causes of its formation,so as to show Ye Jiaying's contribution to the ontological study of Ci.This paper is divided into five parts:introduction,main body and conclusion,which are summarized as follows:The introduction gives a brief description of the present research status of Ye Jiaying's theory of Ci and the purpose and significance of the study.The first chapter,first of all,shows his long and tortuous poetic life and the process of academic development with Ye Jiaying's life as a clue,and then discusses and analyzes the background of the research on Ye Jiaying's"poetic aesthetic trait theory'" from the two aspects of the origin and process of Ye Jiaying's Ci theory,as well as the retrospect and Reflection on the study of the traditional word idiosyncratic theory.Chapter two,returning to the text theory of Ye Jiaying's Ci-poetry,and combining with his related viewpoints,analyses the formation and evolution of the aesthetic characteristics of Ci-poetry from the perspective of Ci-poetry history by taking the development and evolution of the three types of Ci-poetry as clues,with a view to grasping the lasting aesthetic characteristics of Ci-poetry.Then,taking Huajian Ci as the object of study,this paper explores the causes of the formation of the aesthetic characteristics of Ci from three aspects:female image,female language and dual personality.The third part mainly studies and elaborates the aesthetic thought in Ye Jiaying's theory of"the aesthetic characteristics of Ci style".From the viewpoints of"the beauty of soul essence","the beauty of personality"and"the beauty of life experience",it demonstrates the life aesthetics in the process of Ye Jiaying's Ci theory elaboration,and further elaborates the characteristics and historical value of Ye Jiaying's theory of"the aesthetic characteristics of Ci style".Finally,the conclusion further demonstrates that a series of theoretical achievements of Ye Jiaying's theory of"aesthetic characteristics of Ci style"as an extremely important part of the whole study of Ci is of great significance to the modernization of the theoretical study of Ci in China.
