In the 1930 s,Ying Yunwei,who was famous for being a female character,abandoned the “comprador” identity.From the theatre to the film,his first film Plunder of Peach and Plum won the praise.From then on,he experienced the periods of the “left-wing” film,film in main rear area,the post-war film and "seventeen years" film,he directed eighteen films,known as the “amphibious director in theater and film”.Ying Yunwei's films followed the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party,and closed to the social reality and the voices of the public.They were full of patriotic and progressive thoughts.At the same time,Ying Yunwei emphasized the commodity attributes of the film,aiming to attract,guide,educate and influence the audiences.In the narrative,Ying Yunwei's film focused on drama and reality,so it had the classic Hollywood narrative style.Continuing the attention to the audience,the pursuit of drama,and the emphasis on reality,Ying Yunwei presented a " The moderate doctrines" in the creation of opera films,that is,made it cinematic without destroying the performance of the opera in principle.This research on Ying Yunwei's films has two aims.First,there is no systematic research on the film career of Ying Yunwei.This paper attempts to piece together the fragments in the long river of history data,analyzes,reconstructs,restores Ying Yunwei's film life and the creative concept of film.The second is to take Ying Yunwei as an example.It views the film career of filmmakers who have more obvious ideology from the drama industry to the film industry in the 1930 s,and supplements the director research of Chinese film history.
