Translation Of Irony In Lu Xun's Essays From The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence Theory

Lu Xunundefineds essays contain not only unique methodology of dialectical materialism and historical materialism,but also a strong spirit of national introspection and national criticism.By studying Lu Xunundefineds essays,the majority of ethnic minority compatriots can better understand the connotation of Lu Xunundefineds prose spirit,consciously deepen the inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture,and further unite the ideological strength of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Based on the theory of functional equivalence,this paper studies the translation of irony in Lu Xunundefineds essays from four main aspects: semantic category,pragmatic category,contextual category and rhetorical category,and investigates the details of the translation of irony Uyghur translation in four main aspects: semantic category,pragmatic category,contextual category and rhetorical category.Based on the related concepts in the semantic category of irony,this paper divides the irony in Lu Xunundefineds essays into two categories: "positive and negative" and "antithetical".By means of semantic analysis,the paper compares the semantic equivalence between the translated text and the original text in the aspect of semantic functional equivalence.Combined with the relevant research methods of pragmatics,Lu Xunundefineds essay irony is regarded as a special speech act.Through the analysis of its pragmatic premise,this paper restores the pragmatic functions of irony following conversational implicature and breach of contract meaning,and compares the causes of the pragmatic distribution of the same irony in the translation and the original text in terms of pragmatic functions.Finally,find out the translation strategy and translation method to maximize the functional equivalence between the translation and the source language.By analyzing the context of Lu Xunundefineds essay irony into three categories,I.E.inside,out of words and intertextuality,we can identify the constraints of different contexts on the translation of Lu Xunundefineds essays.Based on the theory of context translation and the descriptive methods of cognitive linguistics,this paper deduces the compensation methods and translation strategies adopted by the translator,and sums up the features of context function pairs in the translation of Lu Xunundefineds prose irony.Combining literary translation studies with rhetorical translation studies,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between rhetorical functional equivalence and formal correspondence in Lu Xunundefineds prose irony translation.Through the research,Lu Xunundefineds essay irony translation is brought into the category of literary translation,and the textual meaning,referential meaning and pragmatic meaning of Lu Xunundefineds essay are examined in the context of literary translation.It is found that the translation of irony should proceed from the connotation of the original text and reproduce the rhetoric of irony in the original text.Only when the aesthetic value of the translation is supplemented and promoted,can the rhetorical rhetoric of irony be re-translated so as to achieve the ultimate balance between the formal equivalence and the functional equivalence of the flexible corresponding irony,which takes into account the main artistic conception of the original work and guarantees the maximum balance between the flexible equivalent of the form and the functional equivalence.
