As one of the most outstanding female writers in the history of modern Chinese literature,Xiao Hong has made great achievements in literature,Especially Sheng Si Chang and Legend of the Hulan River, which have become the classical works of anti-Japanese literature and women's literature.Sheng Si Chang has established Xiao Hong's position in the history of literature and stands for a starting of her creation. However,it is a misunderstanding under a specific historical background to regard Sheng Si Chang only as an anti-Japanese literature.Xiao Hong's strong feminist and enlightening thoughts in it can not be ignored. She assumes the whole northeast rural area as a “field”,in which she tells a group of women's tragedies.Women can never escape from this “field”,so she chooses to live a desperate death in which the stories of "life" and "death" continue to unfold.Xiao Hong tells these women's stories to tell her frustrating experiences,to expose the slavery and numbness and cowardice in women's hearts,to accuse the oppression and cruelty of women in the patriarchal society,to call on the women's hidden female consciousness and self-life consciousness,to encourage them to awaken from nightmares and rise up against them. The purpose of this paper is to use Simon de Beauvoir's theory of female "existence" to interpret the female tragedy in Sheng Si Chang, and to conclude that "existence" as "the other" is the main source of the female tragedy. After absorbing Heidegger's,Sartre's and Nietzsche's existentialist ideas,Beauvoir applied them to gender differences and feminist thinking, and summed up her unique theory condensed in Second Sex.In Second Sex,she proposed that women exist as "Second Sex" and are accessory to men.Beauvoir discussed the development process of women's situation, social status and discourse right from the primitive society, trying to find a way out for women to survive.Although Xiao Hong has not touched Beauvoir's theory of "existence" of women, she coincides with Beauvoir in feminine consciousness and Enlightenment thought. Both of them have a clear and profound understanding of the plight of women's existence under the patriarchal system.XiaoHong reveals the truth of women's existence by restoring the scene of women's existence.Beauvoir combs vivid and philosophical direction in Second Sex.The reader clarifies the logical relationship between the two sexes in the dimension of "existence".It is helpful to understand Xiao Hong's feminine consciousness in a deeper level and to promote a comprehensive understanding of the text of Sheng Si Chang by using the feminine "existence" theory to interpret this novel. It is innovative to regard the existence of women as "the other" as the root of women's tragedy, and at the same time,it has certain inspiration for women's writing in the new era.The full text is divided into four parts. The introduction part combs and explains the background of the topic selection, summarizes the research status of the topic at home and abroad, points out the significance and value of the topic selection, uses Beauvoir's theory of female "existence" to analyze the Sheng Si Chang, and tries to find the real root of women's tragedy, which can enrich the interpretation of the text, and at the same time in the community. The meeting level has certain enlightenment and reference value. The first part elaborates on the three typical forms of female existence in Sheng Si Chang, namely, the indifferent ignorant, the weak and desperate victim,or the post-perceptual rebel. The second part is the key and core part of the article.Combining with Beauvoir's feminine "existence" theory, this paper discusses the phenomenon of females as "the other" in Sheng Si Chang, and highlights the root causes of women's tragedy. The third part investigates their thinking about women's self-existence from the two dimensions of female roles and authors themselves, and deeply discusses Xiao Hong's view of women.
