Shandong Custom Suite is a piano suite composed by Mr,Cui Shiguang in 1979.At this time,just after the end of the Cultural Revolution,it is in the period of recovery of domestic cultural creation.Its superb and unique composing skills,as well as the creation of various traditional folk music elements from Shandong,have been recognized by the public since its publication.Among them,the application of nationalization and sound,the imitation of Shandong local language and the reference of folk song elements are all worthy of further exploration.Born in Dandong,Liaoning Province,Mr.Cui Shiguang studied piano with his mother of Shandong nationality.Under the influence of his mother,Mr.Cui also had a profound feeling and understanding of Shandong cultural customs and local music characteristics.Mr.Cui's style of composition has always preferred Chinese style of piano creation,but at the same time it maintains the compatibility of"integration of Chinese and Western".This paper will analyze and study the composition from three aspects:creation background,work analysis and performance analysis,to explore the practical value of Chinese folk music elements in piano works,and try to reveal the connotation of the work in a deeper way.
