At present,the internationalization trend of Chinese teaching makes the problem of Chinese textbooks more and more obvious.Many general-purpose Chinese textbooks published in China can not meet the learning needs of Chinese learners in non-target language environment.How to make Chinese textbooks better connect with the social life of various countries has become one of the focuses of attention and research in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The development and compilation of nationalized textbooks for Chinese learners from different countries has become a trend in the compilation of Chinese textbooks.The Vietnamese Chinese language teaching circle is also the same.In the current situation of the surge in the number of Vietnamese Chinese learners,the desire for suitable native Chinese textbooks is also growing,and related research is becoming more and more urgent.In view of this,combined with the learning characteristics of Vietnamese junior high school students,this paper makes a comprehensive investigation and study of the vocabulary arrangement of the native Chinese textbook “Chinese”(the first four volumes),finds the advantages of the vocabulary arrangement of the textbook,and analyses its problems and shortcomings,so as to better serve Vietnamese Chinese teaching.This paper is mainly divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which briefly explains the reasons and significance of choosing the vocabulary arrangement of the Vietnamese Chinese textbook“Chinese”,and points out the entry point and relevant research methods.Chapter two mainly investigates the vocabulary size and lexical hierarchy distribution of Chinese(the first four volumes).It is found that the vocabulary in each volume is mostly moderate,not much,and is increasing gradually from volume 1 to volume 4.In terms of the difficulty and grade distribution of vocabulary,the primary words are the main words in the four volumes,while the proportion of intermediate and advanced words in the latter two volumes has increased to some extent,but it is basically controlled within a certain proportion and the vocabulary difficulty is not great.Chapter three makes a general survey of the vocabulary repetition in textbooks.This chapter investigates the repetition of notional words and function words in the four textbooks from the perspectives of overall repetition,single-volume repetition and crossvolume repetition,sorting out the relatively high-frequency words,and identifying the similarities and differences and characteristics of vocabulary in single-volume and crossvolume repetition.Chapter four discusses the ways of annotation and explanation of words in textbooks.This chapter examines and analyses the rationality of the annotation and annotation methods of new words,and at the same time,it also makes some analysis of the explanatory methods of notional words and functional words in textbooks.New words in the first three volumes of the textbook “Chinese” are presented in terms of “New words-Pinyin-Vietnamese translation”.Starting from volume 4,the tagged part of speech is added and presented in terms of “New words-Part of speech-Pinyin-Vietnamese translation”.Among them,Vietnamese annotations mainly use descriptive method and explanatory method,while Chinese words mainly use extended collocation,example sentences interpretation and related exercises to provide assistant explanations.Chapter fifth investigates and analyses various forms of vocabulary exercises in Chinese.From the perspective of student'steaching and acquisition,it makes data statistics and concrete analysis and demonstration on the three main forms of vocabulary exercises: filling in vocabulary blanks,sorting out sentences and making sentences with designated words.In the vocabulary training of the first four volumes of the textbook,the exercise form of “filling in the blanks with selected words” is relatively easy,so the number of questions is large and the forms are diverse,but the distribution in the four volumes is not balanced;the exercise intensity of “sorting out sentences” is greater and the volume-by-volume increase;the exercise form of “making sentences with specified words” is the most difficult,so the first two volumes are not involved,and only the third and fourth volumes appear.But the amount and proportion of questions are not very large.Chapter six summarizes the characteristics of vocabulary compilation of this set of Chinese textbooks on the basis of the comprehensive investigation and analysis of vocabulary compilation in the previous chapters of the textbook “Chinese” 1-4.At the same time,combining with the author's own Chinese learning experience,it puts forward some specific suggestions on vocabulary compilation in relevant textbooks suitable for Vietnamese students.
