The Study Of Linear Narrative And Non-linear Narrative In Detecting And Reasoning Drama

Linear narrative is a classical narrative technique that uses linear timeline as the leading factor and combines causality,coherence with unity of event plot.Compared with linear narrative,it's more difficult to construct non-linear narrative.In the process of watching movie,the audience needs to re-assemble the structure of the film,establish another kind of cogitation and reconstruct fragment plots to obtain totally new viewing experience.The purpose of this paper is to explore the two most common-used narrative methods in the detecting and reasoning drama.One is linear narrative,the classical film narrative with classic Hollywood film as the background.The other one is the non-linear narrative mode.The author combines relevant films for comprehensive analysis,discusses the representation differences between the two in the timeline of detecting and reasoning drama: the coherent main axis of linear narrative,the fragment time structure and cycle time structure of nonlinear narrative,and the different manifestation and use of causal relationship,and summarizes general law to provide solid theoretical basis for the overall creation of the detecting and reasoning script "Seeking Crime".At the same time,the author analyzes how the script structure of "Seeking Crime" is more reasonably created under the guidance of linear narrative and non-linear narrative.
