A Report On The Translation Of New Hebei Folk Songs

Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the Great Leap Forward folk song has become a new research hot-spot in the literary world.These folk songs have the unique sense of ownership of the ordinary people of New China.The authors of these folk songs are mostly workers and farmers who come from different factories and workshops.The hard-working workers and people split out their best wishes and hopes by writing or singing these folk songs.They desire for a happy and better life.On one hand,most of these folk songs reflect the common people's daily life,working situation and emotional attitudes.On the other hand,the language of these songs has distinct characteristics of the times and carries on deep connotation.It is an important literary material for researchers and scholars to know and study the cultural life of the people at the beginning of the founding of New China.This practice report is mainly composed of four parts: translation mission description,the description of translation process,case analysis of translation and summary of translation practice.Translation mission description includes the text background and translation significance of the translation practice.The translation process description states translation process,including the description of translation text content and analysis of the content;the translation case analysis,this part takes the omission translation and translation of culture-loaded words,the translation of words of material culture,the translation of the words of social culture,the translation of the words of common saying and the translation of color culture-loaded words and the translation of rhetoric.Based on the cultural translation theory,it further analyzes the translation strategies and methods which used in the translation of New Hebei Folk Songs;the summary of translation mainly points the problems and solutions in translation and unresolved issues.By summarizing all problems,I could learn more about translations,which is beneficial for my future translation and study.
