Exploring The Musical Language Of Characters And Singing Practice In Opera "La Wally"

Italian composer Alfredo Catalani has created five operas,La falce,Scythe,Elda,Dejanice,Edmea,and La Wally.Among them,the opera la Wally is still active on the stage and has become the representative work of realist operas in the late Italian Romanticism.The realist operas are mostly based on tragedy as the blueprint.The small characters closest to people's lives are the main characters.The tragic fate of the characters can bring warnings to people.The most famous aria in this opera is the singer of the Wally,"Ebben?Ne andrò lontana." In addition,the aria of other characters is also worth studying and learning,such as the Gellner character aria "T'amo ben io!E sei dentro al mio core" and so on.Under the guidance of the professor,I studied and sang some of the arias,and focused on the characters' music control and vocal singing in this opera.In the writing of the thesis,I analyze with exploration to study the musical language and practice singing of the opera.The key frame of this paper is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the composer Catalani and his creative trajectory,including the life,creative background and creative characteristics of the composer.The second part analyzes in detail the character,drama conflict and representative character music language analysis in the opera la Wally,and analyzes the music language of the main characters one by one;The third part is the practical analysis and summary of practical significance of the opera la Wally.The author will analyze the performances of different singers as a practice.Objects,and in-depth exploration of the position of la Wally in the development of opera and the meaning of learning,singing and appreciation of nowadays vocal singers.By specifically analyzing the music singing process of the singers in the opera,you can summarize and learn how to deal with problems encountered in actual singing.Vocal singers and musicians can also have a deeper understanding of opera through the above analysis,and provide effective help for vocal teaching and practical singing.
