Firstly,this paper gives an overview and examples of Electronic music,Live electronic music and Computer music,and defines the category of John Bischoff's electronic music by defining the concept of these three words.In the 1950 s,along with the advance of computer,electronic music technology increasingly rich and professional,but many composers or student's personal economic ability is not enough to support research,experimental music,many top universities have opened the electronic music studio(laboratory/center),not only for teachers,composer and students provides a great help,also to build up the communication channel between colleges and universities,and even exchanges between countries,and for the development of electronic music has a direct and profound influence.John Bischoff has been studying electronic music since the 1970 s,and his ideas come largely from the creative experience of older composers like John Cage.The mills contemporary music center established by mills college provided a lot of technical support for his study and experiment in electronic music,and he got to know some composers who were already very active in the field of electronic music at that time,such as mentor Robert Ashley,John Cage's partner David Tudor,etc.It was during his time at mills college that Bischoff worked as David Tudor's assistant,studying and assisting Tudor in some of John cage's live electronic music experiments and performances.These comparisons of his early and later ideas,techniques and techniques have had a profound impact.This paper focuses on the comparison of two of Bischoff`s early live computer music "Audio Wave"," Next Tone,Please " analysis,the music in the "random and control" to elaborate.
