The development of urbanization promotes the migration of rural labor force to cities, resulting in the social phenomenon of left-behind children.Although many scholars have studied the aggressive behaviors of children in compulsory education, and all sectors of society and relevant departments have made efforts. But the current situation of social development determines that left-behind children will continue to exist in the future for some time. Therefore,it is particularly important to pay attention to the physical and mental health of rural left-behind children. At present, the most obvious problem in the research on the behavior of left-behind children in rural areas is their aggressive behavior. In this study,a total of 587 children in five township kindergartens in F county,Henan province were selected as the survey objects. The research data were obtained through questionnaire survey and interview of caregivers and preschool teachers. The relevant data were analyzed and sorted out with SPSS 22.0 statistical software. There are differences in the aspects of children’s gender, parents’ education level, parents’ discipline attitude towards children and the content of communication between children and their parents. In addition, from the perspective of overall score, children’s score in the dimension of reactive aggression is higher than that in the dimension of active aggression. There are significant differences between left-behind children and non-left-behind children in all dimensions of their aggressive behaviors. The scores of left-behind children are higher than those of non-left-behind children in terms of the total score of aggression, initiative and responsiveness. There are differences in the guardians’ age, family income and whether the elderly and their parents have the same attitude towards children in terms of the aggressive behaviors of left-behind children in rural areas. Moreover, the guardians who are aged between 36 and 45,whose family income is less than 2,000 yuan and whose discipline is inconsistent have the highest scores in terms of the aggressive behaviors.Through the interview,it is learned that the aggressive behaviors of left-behind children in rural areas are mainly affected by two factors: parental behavior and emotional regulation strategies. In terms of parental behavior, there is a negative correlation between support participation and the whole and all dimensions of children’s aggressive behavior, and a positive correlation between hostile coercion and the whole and all dimensions of children’s aggressive behavior.Hostile coercion can positively predict children’s aggressive behavior, and supportive participation can negatively predict children’s aggressive behavior. In terms of emotion regulation strategies, there is a negative correlation between positive emotion regulation strategies and the overall and various dimensions of children’s aggressive behaviors. There is a positive correlation between the negative emotion regulation strategy and the whole and all dimensions of children’s aggressive behavior.Venting and passive coping can positively predict children’s aggressive behavior.Through the investigation of the current situation of rural left-behind children’s aggressive behavior and the discussion of the influencing factors. In order to promote the physical and mental health of rural left-behind children to get better development, this paper puts forward some suggestions from the aspects of children’s family environment, school environment and society to provide a bit of help for the healthy growth of rural left-behind children.
