Color Performance In Thematic Oil Painting Creation

Thematic oil painting creation is based on the definition of “theme”,which is different from other art forms in concept and expression.It is characterized by the expression of contemporary life and historical events,and more expressions have scenes and themes of social and historical significance.Thematic oil painting creation has the directionality of subject matter,language,aesthetics,etc.However,in terms of the enthusiasm and input of artistic creation,the comprehensive quality of the artist,and the appeal of artistic works,the requirements for the works are the same as those of other artistic creations,and even more difficult.Therefore,This paper discusses the color expression in thematic oil painting creation from the following aspects :Firstly,the creation of thematic oil painting has become an indispensable pion of national culture and art,and it is also an area that needs to be deeply explored and analyzed from an academic level.Secondly,The way that color expressed has gradually become an effective way for artists to reflect the characteristics of the times,national style,spiritual emotions and traditional culture.It is important for oil painting color to express natural color objectively and accurately,it also has a nonnegligible role to play in the subjective feelings of the painter.Lastly,This paper attempts to analyze the subjective expression and emotional exploration of color expression in the topical oil painting creation from the perspective of oil paint creators,and to connect the form of color language in Chinese and Western oil paintings,as well as to explore the multi-faceted color expression of oil paintings as an entry point,focusing on exploring the artistic style of thematic oil painting itself.
