The Creative Practice And Research Of The Animation Short Film "I Am Watching You"

Animation is a graceful art,owning all advantages of films as well as its own unique charms which give audience stronger senses of immersion when it is compared with the film in that the image of the characters portrayed in the animation is the impression reflecting real world in human brains.The simpler and more abstract animation role images can resonate audiences.When people watch animations,they will attach themselves to cartoon characters in stories.Due to its distinct attractions,animation can sustainably evolve to where it is today,including animated feature films,animation short films and their ilk.On account of its merits in relatively short production time,fewer needs for personnel,low cost,animation short films have generated a lot of excellent works.The inspiration of the author's two animation short films,whose themes are growth,originates from watching Television Programs like “Animal World”.The first one narrates the disillusion of a conspiracy held by an unscrupulous cameraman who aims to shoot a documentary on lions,after undergoing various setbacks during the encountering a gentle and kind lion who stays with a ewe all the time.The second one records the emergence of the secret between that lion and that ewe exploded by that human who attempts to keep them apart for her documentary fulfillment.This paper is divided into five parts altogether,with the whole creative process described in detail.The first chapter introduces the research background,the meaning of the selected topic,the theme,the synopsis of story so on.The second chapter elaborates the script and the shooting script.The third chapter illustrates the art designing part,including the design in scene and characters,as well as color matching.The fourth chapter describes the formal production of each link.The fifth chapter summarizes problems encountered in the whole creation process.Through this practice,I benefit a lot,especially having a deeper understanding of the production of animated short films.The whole production process is a severe challenge to my own knowledges and skills.After completing this test,I became more proficient in my knowledge,laying a solid foundation for my future work and study.
