A Research On Yuebu Of Taiping Yulan

The Yuebu of Taiping Yulan,written by Lifang,who was the famous scholar and official of the Northern Song Dynasty.This book compiled a large number of important music document for historical reference,as well as a considerable amount of precious documental materials quoted from the lost books,and is a literary treasure house.Placing the Yuebu of Taiping YuLan in the context of the Chinese social culture in the early Northern Song Dynasty,this paper examined its editing background and methodology,and discussed the problems in the compilation.Meanwhile,through the historical origin study,the characteristics,origins and validity of the book's reference were examined,and documents with errors were corrected.Finally,a comprehensive analysis of the book's literature value in music history research was conducted to extract its collation and collection value.
