The research on relative deprivation is still at the initial stage in China,and there are few concrete empirical studies.However,the relative deprivation impact on physical and mental health has become increasingly prominent,and the relative deprivation of college students cannot be ignored.Therefore,the research on the relative deprivation of college students has important significance for the development of college students'mental health.In this study,semi-structured interviews and open questionnaires were used to compile the initial survey of relative deprivation of college students,there the survey were used to test to 480 college students.Through a series of statistical analysis,a questionnaire on relative deprivation among college students with good reliability and validity was compiled.Using the questionnaire of the relative deprivation,Belief of the just world scale and Chinese perceived stress scale to investigate 1100 college students about present situation and characteristics of the relative deprivation,and explore the relationship among the relative deprivation,the belief of just world and psychological stress.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The relative deprivation of college students is a multi-dimensional structure,which mainly includes four factors:the cognition of the disadvantage of self-external image,the cognition of the disadvantage of personal ability,the cognition of the disadvantage of self-academic performance and the emotional response to being at a disadvantage.(2)The relative deprivation of college students is at a medium level in general,but the detection rate of students with high deprivation experience is still a certain proportion.The relative deprivation of college students has significant differences in gender,grade and disciplines,and there is no significant difference between the only child and the source.(3)The college students' just world belief is in the middle level,the highest score of the three factors is the ultimate justice,followed by immanent justice,and finally is immanent injustice.The significant differences exist in gender and grade in the students'just world belief,and there is no significant difference between urban and rural sources,the only child and the source.The two dimensions of immanent justice and immanent injustice show significant differences in the professional disciplines.(4)The psychological stress of college students in this study is generally in the middle level,but the detection rate of high score is still a large part,which indicates that the psychological pressure of college students is slightly obvious.College students'psychological stress on gender,grade,professional discipline shows significant differences,bu no significant difference on the one-child.Psychological stress and the dimension sense of out of control showed a significant difference between urban and rural sources.(5)The correlations of relative deprivation and belief of just world is not significant.But but relative deprivation and ultimate justice,immanent justice showed significant negative correlation and show positive correlation with immanentl injustice.The relative deprivation was significantly positively correlated with psychological stress.There is a significant negative correlation between belief of justice world and psychological stress.(6)The relative deprivation is positively predicting the psychological stress.The belief of justice world and the dimension ultimate justice,immanent justice can positively predict the psychological stress.The sense of relative deprivation can positively predict the immanent inequity,and negative to predict the ultimate justice and immanent justice.(7)Through the examination of intermediary effect,immanent injustices are partially mediating between the relative deprivation and psychological stress of college students.Through the regulation effect test,the ultimate justice plays a moderator role between the relative deprivation and the psychological stress.
