Research On The Relationship Between Altruistic Behavior And Existential Anxiety In College Students:Basic Psychological Need As A Mediator

This study takes college students as the main research object,using the existing anxiety scale of college students,the basic psychological needs scale,the altruistic behavior questionnaire to investigate the college students.In order to enrich the existential anxiety research and understand the real life to its influence,mainly inspects and analyzes the college students’ altruistic behavior,existential anxiety,and the relationship between basic psychological needs,in order to make a detailed understanding and explore college students existential anxiety as well as the affecting factors to provide a new train of thought,also for the research of the current college students’ mental health work provides a practical and feasible research exploration direction.The results of this study show that:(1)The overall level of altruistic behavior of college students is better;The basic psychology of college students needs to be of moderate level;existential anxiety is universal among college students.(2)There is a significant difference in gender between altruistic behavior and altruistic behavior presentation,and female undergraduates have significantly higher levels of altruistic behavior than male college students.There are no significant differences in the number of single children,majors and grades.(3)There are significant differences in the relationship dimension of basic psychological needs.Freshmen relationships need to be met with the highest degree of satisfaction,and the relationship of junior students needs to be the lowest.(4)There is a gender of existential anxiety and there are significant differences in grade.Female college students have significantly higher levels of anxiety than boys.Freshmen have the lowest anxiety,and the seniors have the highest existential anxiety.(5)There is a significant negative correlation between altruistic behavior and existential anxiety in college students,and the highest correlation between altruistic behavior and alienation and loneliness;The altruistic behavior and basic psychology of college students need significant positive correlation.Basic psychological needs are negatively correlated with existential anxiety;(6)The analysis results show that the level of altruistic behavior of college students can directly predict anxiety level;The altruistic behavior of university students can also be predicted by the basic psychology.(7)The basic psychological needs are inconsistent mediation in altruistic behavior and fates and death anxiety;meaningless and empty anxiety,alienation and loneliness anxiety which play a partial mediating role in altruistic behavior.There is a suppress effect in altruistic behavior and guilt and condemnation anxiety.
