Claude Debussy(1868-1918),was an influential composer and innovator in European music circles at the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century. As the originator of Impressionism music,he composed his music in a novel and delicate way,and tried to capture the impression and emotion with music, paying attention to the creation of the atmosphere and the highlighting of the color effect. The research of this thesis mainly focuses on structural characteristics of Debussy's works and analyzes Debussy's music from three aspects: structure, proportion and structural force. The article can be divided into three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. In the introduction, the current research status at home and abroad, the meaning and purpose of the topic, and the definition of the word "structure" are summarized. The body part can be divided into three chapters. The first chapter is about the Loose and Mosaic. The first section studies the loose structure of Debussy's music in presentation period from two aspects--motivation split-type development and multiple material juxtaposition development. The second section analyzes the Mosaic structure in the presentation of music. The second chapter discusses the proportion of structure in Debussy's music. It mainly analyzes the proportion design of music based on Debussy's three periods from four aspects: proportion type and dimension, symmetry, golden section, proportional mixing and hierarchical layout. The third chapter analyzes the structure and structural force of Debussy's music. The content is divided into three sections. The first and second sections analyze the works involved in the previous two chapters, including the structural types such as reappearance, variation and rhythm. In the third section, with the structural force method, there are specific practices such as “Theme/ motivation runs through” and “structural counterpoint”,which make the characteristics of multiple structural forces comprehensive in Debussy music. In the conclusion part, the author makes a summary statement of the three chapters, and concludes the binary opposition and unity of Debussy's music structure, that is,highlighting the dispersal of the form in the music statement, and pursuing the cohesion of music in the proportion and structure force.
