In the era of rapid development of information technology,English,as the most widely used language,plays an indispensable role in the process of socialist construction in China.Education has formed a complete education system including primary school,middle school,high school and university.Therefore,the problems of connection between different stages of teaching appear one after another.On the one hand,high school English education should carry the junior level English education of junior middle school;on the other hand,students should lay a good foundation and prepare well for the acceptance of education,a major of higher education.Senior high school is a particularly important period,and students' adaptation to this stage directly affects the individual growth,character building and learning of the whole high school.In order to ensure a balanced transition between junior high school English education and senior high school English education,we need to recognize the existing problems in junior high school English teaching cohesion,do high-level and practical systematic research,and study the strategies to deal with cohesion.Based on constructivism theory,recent development area theory and the influence of non-intellectual factors on learning,this paper investigates and studies the teaching status of senior high school English teachers and the English learning status of senior high school students to understand the specific situation of the current junior and senior high school connection stage,analyzes the reasons and tries to propose solutions.In this study,10 English teachers of No.1 Senior High in Suihua and 108 students randomly selected from 1081 students in grade 1 were selected as study objects,and the study was conducted from both teaching and learning aspects.The author observed the classroom teaching situation of junior and senior high schools through video and class entry,and obtained fresh first-hand information from both teachers and students through questionnaire and interview to understand the specific problems in the connection of junior and senior high school English teaching.The student questionnaire involves students' knowledge foundation,learning methods,learning habits,teachers' teaching methods,students' self-knowledge and students' initiative in learning.The interview investigates the difference of middle and high school English,students' and teachers' opinions on cohesive teaching and so on.The research results are summarized based on the survey data,the writer analysis the causes of the problems,such as junior high school teaching material content is simple,small classroom knowledge capacity,abundant teaching time,limited knowledge of the infinite loop,diversification of teaching strategies,in contrast,high school English teaching material content and more difficult,due to the limited class time,teachers teaching speed,single teaching form,student participation is low,gradually lose interest in learning.In addition,high school English learning requires students to explore the learning spirit independently and have good learning habits such as self-study,preview and review.Most of the students are not aware of this,and thus have anxiety,weariness and other conditions,which affect the teaching effect.The author proposes the solution after consulting and thinking.It includes strategies aimed at students' learning methods,namely promoting cooperative learning,active learning and cultivating good learning habits.The strategies of teachers' teaching methods include reminding teachers to constantly improve their own quality,paying attention to the influence of non-intellectual factors on students,taking students' teaching background and students' actual teaching as the basis.From the actual point of view,this paper studies the teaching cohesion between junior high school and senior high school,and puts forward some opinions,hoping to provide some reference and reference for the study and practice of the teaching cohesion between junior high school and senior high school in this city.
