The standard of compulsory education English course(2017 edition)issued by the ministry of education for students is: at the stage of compulsory education,it reflects the value of phonetic learning to students education,and pays attention to the characteristics and differences of students in phonetic learning.In the compulsory primary school,the most important part of English teaching is to know and read the words learned,and to master the simpler words according to the rules of knowledge and reading.However,in primary school,due to the factors of age and environment,many students cannot recognize words,which leads to monotonous English learning,which cannot arouse students' interest,thus students will dislike English,which is the most obvious problem in English education at present.This paper discusses the problems and countermeasures of English word recognition teaching in primary school through literature,interview survey and questionnaire survey.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first and second parts are the theoretical basis,which lays a solid foundation for the in-depth analysis of this paper through the elaboration of relevant concepts and theories.The third part conducts a specific research on the current situation of English word recognition teaching in S primary school in L city.The fourth part makes a detailed analysis of the problems existing in the teaching of vocabulary recognition in S primary school in L city,and elaborates on the problems of teachers,students and school.The fifth part proposes targeted suggestions for the problems in the forth part,and tries to find out a set of useful ways to train primary school students' vocabulary knowledge and reading and writing ability,so that the primary school students can master useful word memorization methods and provide them with reference basis for primary school English teachers in the industry.
