Application Of Stitching Method In Jade Carving Art

The common jade carving art in the creation is mainly based on the jade as raw material,It is pivotal that according to the material characteristics of the raw material for design and sculpture,so the ultimate artistic effect it presents is mostly in an independent form of existence.From the early Hongshan culture Yuzhulong,Liangzhu culture Yucong,Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period Yuhuang,Yubi,Yupei,etc,to the Han Dynasty "Eight Knives of Han",Sui and Tang Dynasties Yucup,Yupan,Jade Belt,Ming and Qing Dynasties Jade Bottle,Jade Bowl,Jade Flower Fumigation,Jade Pot,A series of jade carvings,as well as 'Dayu Zhishui' and other well-known works of art in modern times,can illustrate that,in the process of development of jade carving art the creation technique and form are relatively unified.As a unique technique,stitching was used by jade sculptors in their creation.It first appeared in the jade carving art of the Han Dynasty,such as "Jade clothes sewn with gold wire" and "Jade clothes sewn with silver wire",The use of splicing method in jade carving art is to create materials with the same or different attributes in the form of splicing.which ultimately gives jade carving art a new artistic effect and brings people a different visual feeling.Jade carving,as a traditional handicraft,is gradually fused with modern design thinking from a fixed traditional creative mode.In the process of creation,different stitching method are integrated into jade carving art,which gradually changes the traditional design mode.This article mainly elaborates the concept of jade carving stitching,analyses the development process of the stitching of jade carving art,the basic types of the stitching methods in jade carving art,designs and creates concrete works by different stitching methods,and analyses the application and development trend of stitching concept in contemporary jade carving art.Through a series of case studies,literature and experimental means,this paper the combination of history and culture of jade carving art and the current culture,let the jade carving art have the cultural characteristics of contemporary art,and seeks to diversify the creation methods and manifestations of jade carving art.
