This thesis takes Ronald Egan's "The Burden of Female Talented: Li Qingzhao and Her History in China" as its research object,and comments on the main points and explors the unique research methods and prespectives used by Ronald.At the same time,dedicates to discover the innovation and deficiency in the research of Ronald's via a comparison with other North American sinologists and their domestic scholars.The main body of this paper has four parts.The introduction part focuses on the background of Li Qingzhao's research in China and abroad.It also summarizes the general ideas and research methods of Ronald's " The Burden of Female Talented ".And this is the foothold of the research content of the next chapter.The first chapter of this paper is around a series of problems created by Li Qingzhao.It mainly examines how Ronald ponders on Li Qingzhao's creative environment and attitude under the influence of feminist criticism theory,and on this basis how Ronald conducts metaphorical and psychological analysis of Li Qingzhao's works in order to excavate the deep meaning of her works.The second chapter focuses on Li Qingzhao's acceptance of history research.It is mainly to analyze how Li Qingzhao's image has been shaped from the Yuan and Qing Dynasties to modern and contemporary times.The last chapter is based on Ronald's pure literary analysis of the Yi'an poetry,and explores the autobiographical and endorsement of the poetry,as well as the uniqueness of the Yi'an poetry in art.
