People criticize Kant for the impression that Kant's doctrine of moral motivation which regard as a rigorism, which have been given because of massive purity in the doctrine. There are two general opinion held in contemporary ethics, which are called internalism and externalism, refer to the issue about moral motivation.Internalists insist that reasons from actions would be in valid to agent,if they not simultaneously derive from desires, since what stimulates motives which promote actions could not be external for agent and must be related to desires.Reason from moral is seem to be one of them which are away from desires. However,Externalists may argue that agent would do the actions for moral reason even if such reason is away from desires. On the contemporary,Kant's doctrine of moral motivation usually be regard as certain externalism and suffer much criticizes from Internalism. This study purposes to interpret that Kant's doctrine of moral motivation can't simply belong to internalism or externalism. On one hand, the sense of respect to moral law can be restore to the belief for Supreme good, which Kant had regard as moral incentive. This point supports the assertion, which internalists may hold, that what promotes actions must be desire. On the other hand, nobody can draw attentions to exist of Supreme good without using his own reason. That would be found from externalists which held the assertion that understanding can promote actions alone.Furthermore, such using of reason is no equal from instrumental employment of reason which can never beyond phenomenon.Such using changes the desire from happiness to Supreme good which refer to non-phenomenon.Thus,in Kant's doctrine, moral incentive could not be regard as same as motive of general actions, which just as certain means valid to ends and always limited in phenomenon. In order to make clear the issue formulated in Kant's doctrine of moral motivation, this study will try to beyond the argument between internalism and externalism at the beginning and return to the argument in the end. After the analysis for Kant's doctrine of moral motivation, this study will state what insufficient is it in the conclusions, which the two factions have made for Kant's.This study comprises mainly three parts. In the first part, what should be clarified is a basic prerequisite about motive of action in present meta-ethics,namely causation between ends and means in action, under which internalists and externalists argue each other. In the second part, under the basic prerequisite there should be a reinterpret for Kant's doctrine about moral incentive. In the final part,it will come to a response for the misunderstanding the two factions have made for Kant's.
