A Study On The Acceptance Of John Burroughs In China

John Burroughs is one of the representative writers of American 19 th century natural literature.With the rise of ecological literature in the middle of and late 20 th century,his natural prose was incorporated into the field of ecological literature along with other natural literary works,completing the identity of the writer of ecological literature,which was accepted by American readers again.Since the reform and opening up,along with the influx of Western ideology and culture,the ecological concept of West tending to be mature is on the Chinese historical stage with its unique theoretical methods and social influence,which has had an important impact on all sectors of society in China.On this background,John Burroughs began to enter the vision of our readers.So far,Chinese scholars have focused on the research of his text and thought analysis,but no research analyzed from the reader's perspective.According to the study of the acceptance of Barnes and his works in China,it can not only sort out the results of relevant research in Palestine,but also promote the further deepening of follow-up research.It can also reflect the developing progress of ecological literature and its problems in China indrectly.Based on the theory of “acceptance aesthetics”,this article makes every effort to search for relevant literatures,and combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis to grasp the overall characteristics of Burroughs and his works in China.Based on time,it summarizes the stage characteristics of its acceptance history,and divides the acceptance process of Burroughs in China into three stages: germination,development and prosperity.Based the theme,the main features of relevant literature are refined and classified.According to the content,it can be divided into three types: review articles,research papers and translations;according to the form,it can be divided into five categories: monographs,dissertations,journal articles,newspaper reviews,and translations,then,adopting the diachronic research method,analyzes the specific acceptance of the three stages of germination,development and prosperity step by step.Secondly,conduct a cross-sectional study of each stage of the literature according to the content type,analyze and summarize the stages.The stage characteristics of various types of literature and explore its main causes.On this basis,through a holistic analysis of the acceptance effect of Barres and his works,the problems of acceptance of Barnes and his works are summarized,from the aspects of reader acceptance and translation,and explore its relation with the development of ecological culture,the background of social reality and the historical and cultural roots to relate the acceptance of Barnes with the development of ecological literature.In order to find a feasible way that promotes the common prosperity mutually and form a virtuous circle,it combines the dilemma of the ecological literature development,mutual exchange and mutual evidence.
