| The Wengniuteqi rock art is located in the interlaced zone between the southern end of Horqin Sandy Land and Zhaowuda grassland in northeastern China.It is an important part of Chifeng rock art.Meanwhile,the Wengniuteqi rock art is located in the prehistoric archaeological culture area of the West Liaohe Basin constitutes.This not only provides relevant archaeological data for the Wengniuteqi rock art research,but also provides new research angles and research materials for the study of surrounding archaeological culture.Therefore,it is worth researching.There are a total of 13 rock art points in Wengniuteqi,4 of which have a large number of rock arts,concentrated distribution and typical rock art types.This paper takes these four rock art points as the key investigation objects to research.Located in the northern part of the county,the Baimiaozi rock art and Xiaofengshan rock art are relatively single,mostly human faces.The production method is mainly the grinding method.The rock arts are very polished.And the rock arts of these two places appear earlier.The Maonaohaishan rock art and the Daheishan rock art are in the southeastern part of the county.There are many types of rock arts in these two places and symbols are the majority.The drilling method is the main production method and the lines are finer.While the rock arts in these two places appear late.After studying the rock art materials of two field trips and the related materials of related ancient culture,it is found that there are three main features of the Wengniuteqi rock art.First,the number of rock art is large and the distribution is concentrated.Nearly 10,000 pieces of Chifeng rock arts are second only to Yinshan rock art.Among them,there are more than 3,000 rock arts of the Wengniuteqi,which are mainly concentrated in Baimiaozi,Maonaohaishan and Daheishan.Second,the time span of rock art is large.According to the styles,the nearby cultural relics and microerosion dating of different rock art sites,it was found that the Baimiaozi rock art and the Xiaofengshan rock art were earlier in time.The rock art of human face of thees two places appeared about 7,000 years ago.The period of the Maonaohaishan rock art and the Daheishan rock art were late.Third,the rock art is diverse in shape.The rock art in these four rock art sites can be roughly divided into four types: human face,symbol,animal,and human related.There are mainly three functions of the Wengniuteqi on the basis of preliminary analysis of its content.First,the religious function.The most representative local rock art is the Baimiaozi giant potato stone art.It is large in size and has an open space in front of the rock art.There are 18 cupules on the side of the boulder.According to its arrangement,it should be the reflection of the understanding of the astrology at that time.On the east side are 14 human faces of different sizes.The human face lines is thicker and deeper.The style of them is simple and dignified.In addition,judging from the original level of social productivity development,the production of these rock art requires a lot of manpower,material and time inevitably.So it can be speculated that the rock art on the giant potato stone should be out of the need of sacrifice activities.Second,the function of social education.The rock art is a practical “teaching material” for tribe members to understand nature and tribal culture.Third,the recording function.This function is reflected in some rock art,which depict life scenes,in the Daheishan rock art.In the rock art of Daheishan and Maonaohaishan,a large number of symbols formed by combining lines and circles exist.These symbols should be used to exchange and store information by people at that time.Moreover,some symbols have already begun to present the initial form of ancient writings. |
