In The Period Of Puppet Mengjiang Regime Withthe Northwest Committee Federation And Muslim Committee

This paper mainly focuses on the background,process and specific activities of the establishment of the northwest Muslim federation and the Inner Mongolian Muslim committee under the puppet Mongol regime during the Anti-Japanese War,which also explores Japan's Mongolian Muslim policy through the organization activities of two Hui institutions,and then analyzes why Japan attached importance to the Muslim people in the area.The first part briefly introduces the situation of the Hui people in western Inner Mongolia at that time and establishment of the mengjiang regime,the transformation of ethnic policies and the implementation of national association policies.The significant second part expounds that Japan occupied the western part of Inner Mongolia and established Northwest Committee Federation for the development of religious work,utilizing the non-governmental organizations to serve the Japanese occupation authorities to achieve the aim of a war aggression and Chinese divide by construction of Committee schools,industry associations,Hui clinics,etc.,and engaging in related religious and social activities.After 1941,Japan,for the sake of plundering westward resources,comprehensively strengthened its policies toward the Hui people in mengjiang,which established the Muslim committee of mengjiang,which became one of the first Muslim administrative organs of the government governing the regional affairs by increasing the status of leaders of Committee institutions,authorizing Hui people participated in various social activities reflecting the importance that Japan attached to it.This institution set multiple trade cooperation to exploit economic resources especially in livestock product.Muslim committee of mengjiang and Muslim Federation which governed by Japan had a frequent intercourse,which absolutely showed its puppet.Japan,in 1943,transformed Northwest Committee Federation into Northwest Director,which intensified its military for engaging the west.The subsequent third part concludes the influences of the establishment and activities of the Northwest Committee Federation and the Mengjiang Muslim Committee based on this article and other materials with comments of Japan's aggressive policies towards the Hui people in mengjiang.
