The three artifacts of Zhongshan have attracted wide attention for their unique style and connotation since they were unearthed.They tell about the profound culture and spirit of Zhongshan State.The inscriptions on them are unique in shape,rich in connotation and unique in style.They are representatives of strong local characteristics and specific cultural spirit in calligraphy.Since they were unearthed,researchers have been studying and studying continuously,with different directions and fruitful results,while the inscriptions themselves are rich.There are few studies on artistic style,and there is hardly a unified and specific understanding of Zhongshan seal calligraphy style.With the spread and promotion of Zhongshan culture,the number of scholars and calligraphers studying Zhongshan seal scripts has gradually increased.The research and orientation of Zhongshan seal script style has become the premise of inheritance and innovation of Zhongshan seal scripts.As the representative of Zhongshan seal script,the inscriptions on three vessels in Zhongshan have just been built gracefully and have a unique style.Therefore,this paper takes the three inscriptions as the object to explore the inscription law.Based on the content analysis method,this paper explores the causes and manifestations of the three inscriptions' style in Zhongshan from the perspective of the times in which the three inscriptions are located,and focuses on the role of the combination of rigidity and softness in calligraphy,so as to gain an understanding of the style and spirit of the three inscriptions in the thinking of artistic universality and individuality,and ultimately guide the practice of calligraphy creation.In order to achieve this goal,this paper first examines the relationship between the style of the three inscriptions and the times they live in,and ponders the role of aesthetic orientation and spiritual connotation in calligraphy.On this basis,the three inscriptions are compared with the inscriptions of the same period,the basic style characteristics of the inscriptions are explored in the comparative analysis,and the vigorous and graceful features of the inscriptions and the aesthetic connotation of the inscriptions are compared,so as to get the understanding of the connotation and function of the inscriptions' style.Through a systematic analysis of the style of the inscriptions,it is clear that the inscriptions have both vigorous and graceful style of combining rigidity and softness.This is a gradual formation of the combination of the stylistic characteristics of various schools and the cultural character of the nation on the basis of absorbing the advantages of all,which bears the spirit of the tenacious and enterprising spirit of Zhongshan China and the persistent pursuit of beauty.The uniqueness of this style lies in the unity of opposites,changes and unification of the factors that constitute the beauty of calligraphy,thus forming a unique feature of the inscription style,which enlightens the thinking of the factors that constitute the style of calligraphy,and enlightens the realm that calligraphy should pursue.The inscriptions on three vessels are worth studying,and their combination of rigidity and softness enlightens us to think about the principles of calligraphy.
