Along with the appearance of artistic practice,people’s aesthetic appreciation of themselves develops continuously and forms the so-called beauty of human body.Since primitive man used rough hands to reproduce the image of self,the human body as the subject matter of painting,in the history of western painting in each period shows a remarkable charm.Since the 20 th century,in many western paintings,artists have dismembered,fragmented and robotized human bodies to varying degrees,changing the single expression form of reappearance of reality in traditional paintings.In this study as a research starting point,in the 20 th century in western painting in the human body image for clues,exploring the different expression of human "dehumanization",deepened the understanding of western art history,dig out more artistic creation,and formed "dehumanization" as the characteristics of the horizon,to reflect human expression in painting the creation of the deeper meaning behind it.Literature review was used in this study.Firstly,the concept of dehumanization is defined.Secondly,from the three aspects of social background,literary trend of thought and the needs of painting’s own development,the author thinks about the development motivation of "dehumanization" trend of human body in western painting works.Through the interpretation and analysis of the image works in the mechanical civilization,image era,consumption era and new media era,the visual text in different fields is formed.The commercialization,symbolization and materialization of the human body in western painting constructs the connection between art and knowledge of other disciplines and forms an interdisciplinary theoretical horizon,which conforms to the unique artistic views and aesthetic feelings since the 20 th century.Finally,through the study of "dehumanization" of the human body in paintings since the 20 th century,the author reunderstands the transformation of the relationship between artists,artistic works and art appreciators as well as the unique aesthetic mode and experience in the process of artistic creation. |
