The urheen is a kind of the Chinese violin and the most representative bowed stringed instrument in Chinese national instrumental music.It has not only had a long history but also been widely spread.Mongolian is a northern minority with a long history.The rich and broad nomadic life on the grassland has formed the passionate and heroic character of Mongolian people.They are good at singing and dancing and music is everywhere with their life.The melodies in the prairie music are far-reaching,boundless,powerful,solemn and stirring,as well as euphemistic and moving,which are just properly good music material to give full play to the urheen performing art,therefore composers and the urheen artists study indepth.The urheen,as a part of the national music culture,has been living in the folk.It is worth mentioning that among the abundant works with national style characteristics and regional styleas theme,there are many urheen music works that take the prairie style as creative idea and integrate the elements of national folk music.This paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter outlines the accumulation of prairie style urheen works,from the two aspects of the national scope and Inner Mongolia region,briefly expounds the aesthetic evolution of urheen creation.The second chapter based on the folk songs of urheen works,illustrates the characteristics of Mongolian folk songs used in urheen works.The third chapter is the urheen works featured by folk song elements,which provides an in-depth understanding of Mongolian long tone,short tone and other music elements in the works.The fourth chapter analyzes the apply of urheen in folk music ensemble works of prairie style,analyzes the theme of urheen in ensemble,and explains the status and role of urheen in ensemble works.
