The Ideal Personality is essentially the question of "Who to be" and "How to be".Facing the complicated situation of modern China,Feng Qi responded to the issue of ideal personality in Chinese philosophy from the standpoint of Marxist philosophy, and expounded his own unique theory of the ideal personality, the "Free Personality as a Member of Ordinary People".This personality has two characteristics: one is to emphasize the "ordinary people" and the other is to emphasize the "free".On the question of how to cultivate the "Free Personality as a Member of Ordinary People",Feng Qi presented a general principle called "turning the theory(of wisdom)into virtues(of the free personality)" and three specific methods: The cultivation of World Outlook and the Unity of Intellectual;Moral and Aesthetic Education; The Unity of Group's Help and Individual's Efforts.Feng Qi's theory of the ideal personality is an important part of his self-built philosophical system "Theory of Wisdom",and it is also the foothold of his entire philosophical thinking. As the result of the sinicization of Marxist philosophy,Feng Qi's idea criticized the traditional moral introspection, integrated the existing Chinese philosophical resources and constructed a humanistic theory of Marxism, demonstrating the Chinese style and national characteristics. In contemporary China, practicing Feng Qi's theory of ideal personality is beneficial to solving problems in personality education, promoting the all-sided development of people, and facilitating the coordinated development of individuals and society.
