The problem about the existence of Homeric society has been a constant controversy in academic circle.Some scholars believed it existed in the 9-10th century BC,some considered that it reflected the society in the 8th century BC when the booked was written,and some argued that there wasn't a Homeric society and the Epic was a combination of different historical periods and the imagination of the poet.The essay try to explore the political structure which includes the king,presbyterian and ecclesia and public space which includes the religious space,politic space and athletic and artistic space in Homer society,to prove that Homeric society existed which reflected the historical prospect in the 8th century BC.
