Osamu Dazai is one of the representative writers of Japan’s "Buraiha".His works are humorous and cold,and are closely related to his own growth environment.The life of Dazai was full of negative emotions.Although he was born in a homesickness home,he was separated from his biological mother at an early age and was full of fear for his father.The lack of maternal love has had a profound effect on his mind and has affected his literary works.Looking through the literature of Dazai’s rule,we will find that "clown","woman","self","sin","language structure”and“mother”are the keywords of his literary works.In previous studies,many key words were used as the center to interpret all aspects of Dazai Literature.This dissertation focuses on his autobiographical representative work“No Longer Human".By analyzing the storyline and the characters of the novel,combining with Dazai’s experiences,using methods of Jungian psychology’s archetype analysis,starting fron the perspective of "the process of invididuation",I will re-interpret“No Longer Human”.The introduction theory introduced the predecessor study of "No Longer Human"and Jungian Psychology.It focused on the current achievements in the field of psychology and discussed the feasibility of using Jungian psychology as the research method.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter starts with the prototype theory of "personal mask" and discusses the "personal mask" held by Youzou and his true "self".Youzou did not have basic trust in the world.His psychological state initially manifested himself as "unbelieving for himself",that is,he considered himself inferior,sinful,and heterogeneous.In order to escape unease and fear,he took the mask of "The Clown of Courtship." His "personal mask" thus formed.Subsequently,his psychological state was expressed as "others don’t believe",whether he set up a "courtship clown" and evolved into a "deceptive clown" and formed a lonely and cold "self." Youzou’s life could not be separated from the "personality mask”.This is the first step in his failure to "Individuation".The second chapter starts from the "shadow" archetype theory and discusses the failure of the integration of self-shadow and self-shadow parts.The "personal mask"held by Youzou is actually a projection of "shadow".The unsightly side of Youzou’s possession of self,that is,"shadow" has assumed the function of a "personal mask",making the Youzou look like a patient with schizophrenia,which is also in line with the psychologist’s assertion on Dazai.In the text,Youzou suffered two suicides.His suicide is actually a suicide to death.It is a decision for the survival of the soul.On the other hand,the comrades involved in prostitution,alcohol and tobacco,and illegal sports appearing in the text are projections of "collective shadows," and "collective shadows" do not affeet Youzou.This is doomed to the failure of Youzou’s"Individuation".The third chapter begins with "Anima" and "Maternal Archetype",and discusses the "forever women" in Dazai’s literature and discusses the "Don Quixote Syndrome".First of all,it makes a concrete analysis of the images of women in "No Longer Human",and concludes that women in "No Longer Human" have two characteristics.Secondly,the concept of "Anima" and "maternal prototype" was introduced to explain this,and it was concluded that the "forever female" in Dazai’s mind was "motherly".In combination with the personal experience of Dazai,the cause of the lack ofmotherhood was found.The lack of maternal love led to serious problems in the development of Dazai’s personality.His "Anima" stayed at the level of "maternal imagery," causing him to suffer from the "Don Quixote Syndrome".Youzou’s projection of Dazai’s rule was reflected in his "human disability".This step also failed.The fourth chapter starts from the theory of "Individuation",points out the correct path of "Individuation",and points out the failure of Youzou’s "Individuation".First of all,"self" did not break away from "personality".Second,the "self" did not merge correctly with the "shadow" part.Third,it is also unsuccessful to realize"Individuation" by approaching "self" with "Anima" represented by the "self" image of the opposite sex.Finally,it is concluded that the story of "human disability" actually tells the process of "Individuation" in the vast courtyard.Although Youzou was unsuccessful,the challenge to the high degree of totality symbolizes courage and vitality.We cannot ignore the positive energy contained in it.And "No Longer Human" is by no means a dark story,projected in the leaf.The Dazai rule on the Supreme Court cannot be said to be a defeated person or a person who is not qualified.
