Imagologie rose in France in the 1940s and 1950s.Carre and Kea,the French Comparative Literature researchers, laid the foundation for the study of Imagologie, making the Imagologie become a subject and a critical method for studying the alien images and exploring the formation and development of alien images. After decades of development, the research field of Imagologie has been expanded,in addition to pay attention to the alien images, the study of interactive relationship on alien images and local images,Autoimage and Heteroimage, native and foreign are also the key areas of Imagologie of Comparative Literature. As the winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 1994,Kenzaburo Oe is one of the most influential writers in Japan and even in the world. From 1957 published his first novel The Strange Work to 1967 published The Silent Cry,the creation of this decade made Kenzaburo Oe as a writer from immature to mature gradually, and even reached the peak of his literary career, thus many scholars at home and abroad regard the decade of literary creation as the early stage of overall Oe's literary creation to study. The number of research achievements on this stage of Oe's literary creation by scholars at home and abroad is immense, involving ideological value, artistic features and many other aspects, but the research on alien images of these novels is insufficient. From the life experience and reading experience of Oe,it can be seen that Oe is greatly influenced by foreign culture and literature, and he created a rich variety of alien images in many early works, such as Human sheep,Prize Stock,Nip the Buds,Shoot the Kids,Our Times,Later Youth,A Personal Matter,The Silent Cry and so on.The application of these alien images in the early novels is not only the true reflection of the author's personal experience and ideological tendency, but also contains profound literary and artistic values and ideological and cultural connotations. This paper will mainly study three types of alien images in Kenzaburo Oe's early novels,as well as interactive relationship between these alien images and Japanese images. The thesis consists of the following five parts:The introduction mainly sorts out the Kenzaburo Oe's literature course from 1957 to 1967,reviews the research status on Oe's early novels at home and abroad, and explains the research methods, relevant concepts and innovation of this paper. The first chapter is "the American images in Kenzaburo Oe's early novels".This chapter begins with the reading experience and personal experience of Oe in his youth, combing the relationship between Oe and the United States, and discussing the influence of American factors on him.Second,it focuses on the image of U.S.soldiers,including the brutal occupation forces and an imprisoned black soldier.Oe not only exposes the brutality of the occupying forces, but also criticized the inferiority of the Japanese people as the "weak" in the opposing relationship between the two sides. In the dynamic relationship between a black soldier and the Japanese villagers,it can be seen that Oe felt hateful and critical of the imaginary and cruel war.Thirdly,it analyzes the image of the black communities depicted by Oe,discusses the distortion of human nature by violence and the crisis of the times under the black civil rights movement. The second chapter is "the Korean images in Kenzaburo Oe's early novels".This chapter mainly analyzes the images of Koreans in Japan in these novels, which include the images of the Korean tribes, the images of the Korean young children and the images of the Korean youth after the war.The depicting of the images of the Koreans in Japan comes from his own growing experience and strong humanitarian feelings. In these novels, the Koreans in Japan are kind, unity, diligence, intelligent and so on,a stark contrast with post-war Japanese.Through the depicting of the images of the Koreans,Oe exposes post-war Japanese'ugly human nature and cruel behaviors. At the same time, the Korean images also reflect many problems in Japanese society, such as killing the nature and friendship of children of different ethnic groups and bringing the innocent Korean youth down. The third chapter is "the images of African in Kenzaburo Oe's early novels".The images of African in these novels are not the collective imagination of Japanese society, but the alien images with a clear personal touch, which belongs to the utopian images. On the one hand, these images show Oe's praise of the lofty quality of human and good vision of the future development of Japanese society. On the other hand, through the contrast,it reflects a plenty of problems in the post-war Japanese people and society.Similar to the images of forest, the images of African is not completely fantasy,Oe clearly point out that only by taking positive action the human can get rid of the crisis and then reach good future. The conclusion summarizes the creative characteristics and artistic value of three types of alien images in Oe's early novels, and two of the opposition and integration of the interactive relationship and ideological connotation that three types of alien images shows. The alien images not only are the embodiment of the creative methods that standing on the edge and looking at the mainstream, also contain strong existentialism connotations.By the other of the alien images,Oe eventually completes criticism of the post-war Japanese society and explores the way for the development of the future human society.
