The Morphological Research On The Dragon Lady Folk Story Of The Miao

The folk story is the folk oral literature in the type of prose,of which the themes are about the daily life and the protagonists are the real characters in life,and the folk stories are an important part of the folk culture.The Dragon Lady folk story is deeply affected by the Miao people for its wonderful plot and culture connotation,and it presents the characteristics of monotonous theme,diverse type and rich content in the internal inheritance of the Miao.This paper analyzes the synchronic morphological structure of the Dragon Lady story by combining the round analysis and the motif analysis of the story morphology,to explore the law and characteristic of the development of the story structure.The paper starts with the round analysis to analyze the story structure,then comes to the motif analysis and the characteristics of the combination of the two.During the specific research process,firstly,this paper applies the method of story morphology to make a round segmentation of the story to find the plot base of the Dragon Lady story,and after comparing the round structure of the story,this paper finds that the story mainly surrounds the three pairs of rounds,which are“Deficiency(identity)-Eliminate deficiency(get married)”,H a r m-(n o t)E l i m i n a t e h u r t h a r m ”,a n d “ D e f i c i e n c y(separation)-(not)Eliminate(separation)”,to extend new rounds and form different editions.Secondly,this paper refines the motif of the story as per the round order to explore and analyze the more specific story structure,and moreover,it analyzes the specific circumstances and characteristics of the round extension and presents the two important directions of the story extension with diagrams.On this basis,this paper does a motif grouping and sorting of the story,analyzes the law presented by the motif collocation and its influence to the story structure,thusreflecting the morphological structure of the Dragon Lady story.As one of the most classical research paradigms of the folk literature,the morphological structure research can reveal the story development pattern and the structure law,which can not only provide the information support to the stable presentation and variant expression of the oral narrative tradition of the public,but also provide the basis for the deep narrative structure research of the story.This paper does a layer-by-layer analysis to the round and motif,studies the law and characteristics of the story extension and explores the morphological structure of the Dragon Lady folk story of the Miao preliminarily,and all the researches described above do have certain significances.
