Yunnan is located in the southwestern border area of the motherland.From the Yuan Dynasty,the Ming Dynasty,the Qing Dynasty,and the Republic of China until the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the chieftain system was preserved.The chieftain system was implemented in Yunnan for hundreds of years,and its influence is deeply entrenched.During the period of the Republic of China,successive governments in Yunnan were unable to take force to repeal the toast system in Yunnan because of the constraints of internal and external factors.Therefore,the government of the Republic of China adopted a “gradual” approach to continuously strengthen the administrative institutions,readjust administrative regions,and develop cultural and educational undertakings.Control over border areas.From Yuan Dynasty to Qing Dynasty,the development of the chieftain system has undergone a process of continuous improvement and gradual and strict specification.The "Mongolian Refugees" created by the Yuan Dynasty has established the inheritance system of indigenous officials in Yunnan Province.The order of inheritance is based on the Sons and nephews,brother and wife.The chieftain system of the Ming Dynasty was more complete on the basis of the Yuan Dynasty,and strictly stipulated the following rules: the order of the inherited person,the qualification of the inheritance,and the person's knowledge of the attacked person.The system of the chieftain system in the Qing Dynasty was further developed and perfected in the inheritance of the Ming Dynasty system,strictly stipulating the inheritance order of the inheritors,the age of the successors,the inheritance procedures,and the inheritance period.The persistence of the Yunnan chieftain system in the period of the Republic of China was,on the one hand,the succession and continuation of the ancient chieftain system.On the other hand,due to the complicated domestic and international situation,the local government of Yunnan was encouraged to adopt the “progressive” policy and implement the chieftain system in Yunnan.Retention,recognition,and re-regulatory management policies.The Central Government of the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties attached greatimportance to the role of Confucianism education in the management of chieftain.There are not many records in the literature about Confucianism disseminating Confucianism in Yunnan,but the Yuan government set up a special organization in Yunnan to disseminate Chinese culture and Confucianism.The rulers of the Ming Dynasty set up the "the government states School" across Yunnan to cultivate the Confucian ethics of the loyalists' loyal,righteous,ceremonial,intellectual,and faithful people,allowing the children of the chieftain government to enter the Imperial College and study,and to open up the means of giving birth to their children.The Qing government established educational institutions in Yunnan,set up the compulsory education and academies.The Han culture education not only benefited the children of chieftain,but also the indigenous people and ethnic minorities could enter the school to receive Han culture education.The Tu people can also be the same as the chieftain children.The examination of imperial examinations and the implementation of a series of measures have promoted the development of Confucianism in Yunnan.During the period of the Republic of China,Long Yun implemented “Yunnan's Three-Year Implementation Plan for Local Administrative Divisions in Yunnan Province” and“The The guarantee and treatment of the children of chieftain ” to promote the development of Chinese culture and education in the Yunnan region,accelerating the Han culture to a few in Yunnan.Assimilation in ethnic areas.Among them,the establishment and development of the Nanjing School is a microcosm of the Han culture education in the chieftain area in Yunnan during the period of the Republic of China.It can be seen that the government pays attention to the implementation of the Han culture in the Yunnan region and has received Han culture education in Nan Jing School.The children of the chieftain with their strong sense of patriotism and national responsibility,displayed a high degree of national consciousness and national spirit in the battle against the Japanese invaders,supported the government,defended the soil and defended the people,and made enormous sacrifices for the independence of the Chinese nation.
