The Consideration For The Creation Of The Documentary Beijing Groceries

This thesis aims to make a comprehensive creative analysis of the documentary Beijing Groceries from three aspects: creation style,audio-visual expression and post production,and elaborates the author's all-round thinking on this original work.The introduction part analyses the theme of the humanistic documentary Beijing Groceries from the macro point of view.By recording the lives of ordinary people,the creator manages to reflect the great changes of the times.The first part of the thesis discusses the uniqueness of the creation style of Beijing Groceries.First,it analyzes the special narrative strategies in the documentary.By building a parallel narrative structure and creating distinctive characters,the creator aims to show the intention of highlighting differences and creating a parallel structure.Second,through the detailed analysis of the documentary's name as well as the description of impressionistic style under documentary records,the creator manages to express a pursuit for artistic conception.The second part discusses the audio-visual expression in the works.On one hand,it analyzes the artistic usage of lens.With the composition of the documentary showing the beauty of the pictures;the warm and cold tones making comparisons,and the empty scenes expressing the implications,the creator shows the lasting appeal of the work by applying the visual devices.On the other hand,it analyzes the application of the audio elements.With the actual sound enhancing the authenticity of the content;the dual track design highlighting the comparisons and the music sublimating the emotion,the creator uses the auditory means to strengthen the style of the work.The third part discusses the post production of the work.By controlling the editing rate,the work forms a flexible editing rhythm.Thus it produces comparisons and shows the differences in a more obvious way between the two groceries.Meanwhile,the work applies innovative method.By using the creation techniques of screen editing,it expands the creation methods of humanity documentaries.Moreover,this thesis also discusses the design of visual effects in the work from two aspects,which are design ideas and production methods,and expresses the author's view on special effects,which is that special effects should be harmoniously integrated with the style of the work in order to achieve a better effect.
