A Study On The Story Of The Xixia Classic Shengli Yihai

There are many stories in the Tangut classified book Sheng Li Yi Hai.The text shows that these stories are basically derived from Chinese literature and have great origins with Chinese books.This dissertation newly examines the historical sources of the seven stories: the story of Chen Ye,in Xu Jian's Chu Xue Ji volume 17 of the Tang Dynasty;the story of Luo Tongzi,in the Luo Tong biography of History of the Three Kingdoms volume 57;the story of Pan Yue,in Rong Zhi article of Liu Yiqing's essays and criticism volume 14;the story of Meng Jiangnv,in the Meng Jiangnv Bianwen of Dunhuang Bianwen volume P.5039;the story of Mrs.Miao,in Fan Shu's Friends of Cloud Creek;the story of Wang Yan,in Wang Rong biography of Book of Jin volume 43;and the story of Shu Xiang,in Legend of Spring and Autumn Century.Based on the source of the predecessors,this dissertation do a new research on the three stories that still have doubts,that is the story of Cen Sheng's “Xiao Zi Ai Mu”,in Xiao Zi biography of The Taiping Imperial Encyclopaedia volume 370;the story of Cai Shun's “Mu Wei Tian Lei”,in History of the Eastern Han Dynasty volume 69;the story of Bu Shi's “Separate property”,in Bu Shi biography of Han Dynasty volume 58.This dissertation also systematically examines the origins of all existing stories,finally found that most of them are modeled,Even directly from the early Song Dynasty official book Taiping Imperial Encyclopaedia.
