Macintyre's thoughts of virtue had a great influence on the development of western moral philosophy, especially the publication of the masterpiece After Virtue, which had a great impact on western ethics and challenged the development of western modern moral philosophy. His thoughts also caused fierce debate which resulted in various judgments.Nevertheless,After Virtue is still a classic work of ethics. The first chapter of this paper mainly combs the origin of Macintyre's thought of virtue, and the reason why Macintyre put forward his own theory of virtue,It is because after analyzing the present situation of western morality,he draws the conclusion that the western society has already fallen into a serious moral crisis, and then reveals the root causes of the western moral crisis, that is,since people entered the modern society,Because of the failure of enlightenment planning, emotionalism prevailed in the process of evaluation and practice of moral behavior, which wrongly abandoned the historical tradition of Aristotle. As a firm Aristotle,Macintyre's moral thought is naturally the inheritance and development of the Aristotelian. After combing the traditional evolution of the concept of virtue, trying to save the moral crisis in modern society, and to prove the rationality of morality,Macintyre put forward the theory of virtue in line with the current social situation to guide people's practice. Its moral thought comes into being. The second chapter mainly explains the concrete content of McIntyre's thought of virtue. From the three aspects of virtue and practice, virtue and individual unity, virtue and historical tradition, this paper expounds Macintyre's new virtue theory, which includes Macintyre's differentiation of internal and external interests of practice,on the basis of Aristotle's virtue theory. The similarities and differences with Aristotle and Marx's practical ideas;Clarification of concepts in the process of understanding individual unity; The interpretation of the traditional concept and finally Macintyre's classification of virtue,on this basis, grasp McIntyre's thought of virtue as fully and profoundly as possible, and at the same time expound Macintyre's "virtue".Then "as the reason for the title of his book."The third chapter mainly puts forward the reconstruction of moral rationality inthe historical practice.First of all,to understand Macintyre's thought of virtue is actually to understand the logical structure of "the person who accidentally becomes-the purpose-the person who may become after realizing his own purpose".It is this structure that intuitively shows the process of transformation from "natural man" to "purpose person",which is the process of "accepting moral education",so morality and its edification are just one of the purposes to achieve the goal.Transformation has become necessary, and since then,it has provided a theoretical proof process of rationality for morality.Secondly,it interprets Macintyre. The attitude towards morality "the view of pedigree morality" and his understanding of moral knowledge and ideas, has created a special infrastructure of "moral community" in modern society, which is modelled on the tradition of Aldersen virtue. Finally, through the historical practice to complete the reconstruction of moral rationality, that is,to realize the reality of moral rationality,to complete the final purpose of the reconstruction of moral rationality.
