Analysis Of Creation And Performance Of The Erhu Concerto The Soul Of Snow Mountain

The Soul of Snow Mountain is a single movement Erhu concerto composed by the famous contemporary Chinese composer Wenjin,Liu,aiming to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the long march.Through four different scenes,including the journey,snow mountain,comrades in arms,and rosy dawn,the music shows the Chinese worker' s and peasant's red army have achieved great victory of the proletarian revolution by going through the long march of 25,000 li,overcoming numerous difficulties and obstacles with tremendous courage.The music is the first realistic Erhu work to present the theme of revolutionary army,a masterpiece of art that keeps pace with the time.The music is rich in connotation and grand in scale.It does not only depict the solemn and stirring scene of arduous struggle and disturbing wind and rain,but also shows the profound friendship between comrades and the deep memory of those who sacrificed themselves.The spirit of persistent and relentless struggle is portrayed in the music.Its profound music connotation,rich music expression and excellent performance skills are of high artistic value and worth our study and research.The author of the paper successfully performed this work under the careful guidance of professor,the master supervisor.Based on the author's own performance practice,this paper will conduct analysis on the The Soul of Snow Mountain from the following four aspects:chapter one is the creation background of The Soul of Snow Mountain including introduction of the composer Mr.Wenjin,Liu and the creation background;chapter two is the creation characteristics of The Soul of Snow Mountain,including connotation of the theme of realism,unique creation conception,rich national sentiments,breakthrough of tonality creation,deep and vivid music image and abundant rhythm variation;chapter three is the analysis of the performance technique and the author's own performance experiences;chapter four is the artistic value of The Soul of Snow Mountain.The author tries to provide strong theoretical and practical guidance for the performance of this work in the future through the discussion of these four parts.Any correction of the shortcoming will be appreciated.
