In the context of the “Internet+” era,the deep integration of information technology and teaching has become the core idea to promote education informatization.With the continuous heating up of the research on core literacy of English subject,the importance of information technology in optimizing subject teaching is becoming more and more prominent.In the western underdeveloped areas of the general high school English teaching,teachers “teach for exams”,continue the traditional teaching mode of “full classroom teaching”,and cultivate all kinds of language skills separately.In addition,there is a lack of courses to cultivate students’ comprehensive language ability,and students lack the opportunity to use English in a real and specific context.However,the Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School English(2017 edition)puts forward new requirements for talent cultivation,education and teaching in the new era.Integrate course contents and change teaching methods;English teaching,which aims at the development of students’ discipline core quality,should be guided by thematic meaning.Attach importance to the application of modern information technology and enrich English course learning resources.The intelligent teaching tool “rain classroom” integrates cutting-edge information technology(such as cloud computing,mobile Internet,data mining,etc.)into the teaching scene,and is committed to providing data-based and intelligent information support for all teaching processes.However,“rain classroom” in the field of high school English teaching practice research is not much.Therefore,the author takes “high school English thematic project learning supported by the intelligent teaching tool ‘rain classroom’” as the research topic,which serves as a beneficial practical exploration to transform the classroom and realize the deep integration of information technology and teaching.The main work of this study is: first,theoretical research.Collect and sort out relevant researches on smart teaching tools and project learning at home and abroad,analyze their current development status,and take this as the theoretical guidance for the research.Meanwhile,scientifically analyze and interpret the current smart teaching tools in China,especially the current English teaching status under thesupport of “rain classroom”.Second,the teaching practice research process.This research mainly adopts the action research method,taking the Project section in PEP edition of English textbooks for high schools as the teaching content,and carries out three rounds of high school English themed Project learning action research supported by “rain classroom”.Thirdly,data analysis and result discussion.By analyzing the data recorded in the research process and the evaluation of the project works of the three action studies,the research conclusions are drawn.The research shows that “rain classroom” as a new type of intelligent teaching tool is helpful to teaching,and has been widely recognized by teachers and students in practical teaching.However,how to ensure the full use of “rain classroom” in high school English teaching,how to conduct scientific evaluation of its teaching influence and whether this research has universality due to the limitations of time and disciplines are still to be explored in more teaching practices.
