It is of great significance to the study of heroin addiction and relapse.Compulsively drug using that regardless of the consequences is a major feature of substance addiction. It manifestations of abstainers unable to control their addict behavior. This is related to the impairment of the addict's response inhibition function. The main symbols are impaired response inhibition function.Emotions may be a key factor in inducing drug seeking and relapse behaviors.Long-term drug abuse can cause the abnormal emotional process which won't recover after withdrawal. The dual competition model also believes that emotions can enhance or impair behavior. And the Dual-process Models of Addictive Behaviors argue that imbalances in emotional automation systems and control systems lead to addiction. Therefore,to explore the influence of heroin abstinence emotion on response inhibition function,it is not only possible to know the process of heroin abstainers' response inhibition in specific emotional situations, but also can better understand the role of specific emotional information during the process of heroin addicted and relapse.Although the effects of addicts' emotions on response inhibition have been studied, there are few studies on the effects of emotional automation systems on response inhibition, especially the focus on affective priming and positive emotions.Affective priming is a better way to study the automatic processing of emotions, and there are different mechanisms for subliminal affective priming and supraliminal affective priming. In addition, positive emotions and negative emotions have different effects on individuals. Therefore,in this study, the characteristics of subliminal and supraliminal affective priming processing of heroin abstinence were investigated.Based on this, the second study was conducted to investigate the effect of affective priming on response inhibition in heroin abstainers. In study 1,the affective priming paradigm was used.In experiment 1 and experiment 2,a 2(group: heroin abstainer group;control group)× 3(priming stimulus: positive, negative, neutral)× 2(target stimulus: positive and negative)experimental design was used. The two experiments are differs in the way the start-up pictures presented. In study 2,combined with the emotional initiation paradigm and the Go/Nogo paradigm, both experiment 3 and experiment 4 wereperformed using 2(grouping: heroin withdrawal group;control group)× 3(starting pictures: positive, negative, middle)experimental design. The two experiments are differs in the way the start-up pictures presented.Participants selected male heroin abstainers from a drug rehabilitation center in Gansu Province as the abstainer group, and selected social males who matched the age and education level of the abstainer group as the control group. The results of the study find significant main effect of the consistency condition, and the reaction time of the consistent state is significantly shorter than that of the control state and the inconsistent state. The reaction time of the control state is significantly shorter than that of the inconsistent state. There is significant interaction effect between the priming stimulus and the grouping. In the abstainer group, the positive priming has longer reaction time than negative priming stimulus, whereas the control group did not.The main effect of the false alarm rate under the three types of priming stimulus was significant, and the false alarm rate under the positive affect priming condition was the lowest. The Go trials' reaction time also has a main effect, which negative priming stimulus performed a shortest reaction time.Study 1 find that heroin abstainers can perceive the effects of different emotional valence emotions in subliminal and supraliminal, and their affective priming effect is different from the control group. On this basis,Study 2 mainly concluded follow conclusions, firstly, due to the high impulsiveness of heroin abstainers and the attention bias of negative stimuli, both the subliminal and supraliminal negative emotions could promote the reaction to the dominant response.Secondly, although the subliminal emotional processing or response inhibition function of heroin abstainers have some recovered, the response inhibition function was still weaker than normal people. The most important is that the positive emotions, which is lack of in previous studies, will promote the response inhibition ability of heroin abstinence, suggesting that we need to consider positive emotions in future emotional interventions for heroin abstinence.Thereby increasing its ability to inhibit reactions and reducing relapse rates.
