The song-and-dance drama,The Woman Teacher of the Village,is a Chinese original drama with outstanding Chinese native characteristics and the first song-and-dance drama with the realistic subject performed in National Centre for the Performing Arts of China.It is written by Liu Heng and composed by Hao Weiya.There are many famous singing plots in this drama,and the most representative one is the aria,You Said You Loved Me Five Years Ago.And it is also one of the songs in the author's solo concert.With its strongly emotions,pristine lyrics and twists in melody,the work always touches people's inner-most being.The author knows the drama by singing the aria.Eventually,the author is deeply attracted by this kind of drama.However,most of the Chinese audiences like folk songs and such traditional operas as Beijng Opera,and people who study the vocal music as amateurs like foreign operas and songs.There are few people who like to learn and appreciate Chinese song-and-dance dramas.Therefore,by analyzing and singing the aria You Said You Loved Me Five Years Ago,the author wants to study the creation and development of Chinese song-and-dance drama and explore the way about how to make Chinese audiences have a further knowledge of the national song-and-dance dramas and would like to go to the theatre to watch them.
