Mongolia Bo(Bo“b?ge”,a collective name of Mongolian to Shaman)as a religious and folk culture form,people's research on it has been mainly confined to the knowledge category of Folklore,National Literature and Religions.This paper will systematically expound the ecological background and cultural tradition of the Song and Dance of Mongolian Bo,which is a drama culture,using the theory of drama anthropology and integrating the theory of drama anthropology and cultural ecology.Besides the introduction and conclusion,the paper is divided into three parts.In the first part,the paper will sort out the theory of drama anthropology and orientate the subject.And according to the theory of theatrical anthropology,the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo is defined as a kind of drama culture.And according to the three important theoretical categories of theatrical anthropology: ecology,tradition and ritual,the paper explains the internal relationship between the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo and cultural ecology,cultural tradition and ritual performance.In the second part,through the integration of drama anthropology and cultural ecology theory,the ecological background of the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo,namely Grassland Natural Ecology and grassland cultural ecology,is explained,and the relationship between the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo and grassland nomadic economic life,social life and cultural life is analyzed.The third part mainly explores the relationship between the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo and grassland religious and cultural traditions,and systematically combs the origin relationship between the Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo and grassland people's primitive beliefs,such as celestial body worship,mountain and forest worship,animal worship,grassland Shaman culture,Tibetan Buddhist culture,and verifies the above rationale by comparing the Black Bo Song and Dance with the White Bo Song and Dance.The paper concludes with this conclusion: The Song and Dance of the Mongolian Bo is not only a religious image,but also a dramatic phenomenon.It is a part of grassland drama culture and grassland culture.It has certain significance not only in the past but also in the future for the development of grassland culture.
