Chinese oil painting pioneers try to get rid of the shackles of figurative creation,explore and try to apply the abstract creative form and expression language of the west in their works creation,and form the abstract oil painting art with Chinese characteristics in form and spirit.This paper attempts to summarize and discuss the present situation of abstract oil painting in contemporary China and the problems faced by abstract oil painting in contemporary China from the perspective of theory.The abstract Chinese oil painting in the context of contemporary art is interpreted from three aspects: "affection and freehand painting","subjective and objective transformation and unified abstract choice" and "the artistic practice of contemporary Chinese abstract oil painting".At the same time,the author puts forward his own artistic creation practice.Painting point of view-"mind and image reconstruction,things and I unity".
