"Substitutive Satisfactions" And Psychological Study Of Movie-watching

The psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud believed that "while civilization is the concern of all mankind,virtually everyone is the enemy of civilization".According to Freud,individual personality is composed of "id","ego" and "superego",which interact and restrict each other.The instinct desire derived from id is an important driving force for individual behavior motivation and performance.But in the modern civilized society,adhere to the "pleasure principle" human instinct is the traditional custom,social public morality,social discourse of distress,such as social norms based on human instinct desire of irrational behavior and based on rational civilization constitutes the opposite of hard to coordinate relationship between society,to some extent,everyone is "repressed individuals",however,repressed instinct will not disappear,in order to "meet" happy,people need to seek an alternative channel or way off.Film narration is the screen expression of the creator based on a certain desire and the cognition,sharing,communication and exchange of the self,others and society from a certain perspective.From the level of audience acceptance,film has become a kind of civilized norms of alternative "catharsis" and "displacement" way.In contemporary film studies,"the focus of film research has obviously shifted from the text of the film to the relationship between the film and the audience,and to the audience itself".From the perspective of audience acceptance psychology,audience as the main body of research,audience's viewing psychology in the process of movie-watching experience.On the other hand,the psychological study of audience watching movies based on the intervention of social and cultural factors has important reference value for the production and creation of films in the same period.At present,Chinese society is in the process of social transformation.On the one hand,there are inevitable social contradictions and conflicts between the growing desires and appeals of individuals and various social problems.On the other hand,the lack of reality leads people to seek alternative satisfaction.In real life,individuals not only have to bear the stress and pain of repressed instinctive desire,but also have to face "some unbearable aspect of reality".Based on the viewing psychology of " Substitutive Satisfactions ",dramatic behaviors carried out by screen characters enable people trapped in reality to obtain effective vicarious catharsis,compensation and satisfaction.Among them,in recent years,the crime films that have been hotly discussed by the audience not only put violence,sex and other human instinctive desires on the screen,but also reach a dialogue relationship between the film text and the audience about human nature,society and social justice.Therefore,this paper,on the premise of elaborating the psychological operation mechanism of "alternative satisfaction",studies the audience of crime films from the perspectives of "catharsis","compensation" and "sublimation" in the psychological aspect of watching movies,so as to provide certain theoretical basis and value reference for such domestic films.
