Since the 1990 s,"going north" has become a new synonym for the development of Hong Kong films. When Hong Kong films gradually declined,a large number of Hong Kong directors "went north" to the mainland and actively exploited the mainland film market.Hong Kong's long commercial entertainment tradition, deep type accumulation and mature industrial system have been deconstructed and reconstructed under the influence of mainstream values and audiences' aesthetic habits in the mainland. It has also gradually transited from a painful period of "acclimatization" to a relatively stable period of development. On this basis, many "going north" Hong Kong directors began to seek a balance and foothold in the market, culture, values and other aspects of the film between the two places.Lin Chaoxian,as a representative of the director of "Go North",combines the Hong Kong-style humanistic concept with the mainstream ideology of the Mainland, and opens up a new " Go North " development path. The new mainstream direction of blockbuster film creation explored by him may be the key to the deep integration of the two cultures,or it may become a new aesthetic path for the development of mainland movies. This paper takes Lin Chaoxian's film creation as the narrative backbone, and makes a thorough analysis of Lin Chaoxian's three main types of creative features: police and bandit films, sports films and new mainstream blockbusters. It comprehensively interprets the aesthetic inheritance and development of his " Go North " works. It also tries to summarize the influence and Inspiration of Lin Chaoxian's films on domestic sports theme films and theme films at the creative level.
