Local Literature has always been the main trend of Literature from modern to contemporary,it started and matured in the 1920 s.Folk writing is an important part of Local Literature in this period.The local writers show us the rural life in a certain era and the living conditions of the people in the patriarchal villages,they criticize the backwardness and ignorance of the countryside,and convey enlightenment to the readers.At the same time,the local writers found in the folk writing the simple folk customs and the true,the beautiful and the human nature that the hometown has maintained for thousands of years.The folk writing has built a unique rural space for the readers.These folk writings not only enhance the regional characteristics and national characteristics of the works,but also have deep meanings and imply the emotions and reflections of the local writers on the rural areas.This thesis takes the local novels of the 1920 s as the research object,from the perspective of folklore writing,through the relationship between folklore and local literature,the folklore in rural literature in the 1920 s and the narrative features of folklore writing,the significance and value of the folk writing are explored.The introduction part of this thesis defines and expounds the concept of local literature,and combs the research status of local literature in detail,and points out the research significance of the folk writing in Local Literature.The first chapter mainly discusses the relationship between folk custom and Local Literature.First,the relationship between folklore and Literature is analyzed as a whole: from the historical origins of Literature and folklore and the relationship between Chinese Folklore and modern Chinese Literature,it is argued that folklore and Literature have always been complementary and interdependent.Then,it analyzes the reasons for the prosperity of the folk writing in the local novels of the 1920 s from the two aspects of society and writers.The second chapter,combining the relevant knowledge of folklore,classifies the folklore in the local novels of the 1920 s and explores the deep meaning behind these folklore writings.The first category is the daily folk writing,which shows the unique local colors;The second category is the marriage customs under male rights,marriage customs are the subject of many local writers competing to describe,they examine marriage customs from the perspective of modernity and focus on the survival dilemma of rural women;The third category is the social folklore under the brutal superstition.It is divided into a marriage and a clan struggle.The local writers also have a critical attitude towards such folk customs.The third chapter analyzes the narrative features of folklore writing in the local novels of the 1920 s from three aspects: narrative mode,narrative dynamics and narrative language.The folk writing in local novels in this period presents two trends: one is to look at the ugly customs in the countryside in a critical way,to show the people's souls,and to arouse people's attention to ugly folk customs;The second is to depict the beauty of the soul and the beauty of humanity in the folklore in a poetic way,showing the beautiful side of the country.Therefore,the narrative features of this chapter are mainly from these two aspects.The conclusion part of this thesis expounds the meaning and influence of the folk writing,it highlights the important value of the folk writing in the history of Local Literature.
