This paper focuses on the narrative literature of Bingyin,a magazine founded by the Mongolian society, and New Mongolia,a monthly journal of the association of Mongolian students in Beijing during the period of the Republic of China. On the basis of analysing the origin of the Mongolian journal in the period of the Republic of China and the promotion of Bingyin and New Mongolia to the formation of Mongolian literary community, this paper focuses on the columns, themes, genres and stylistic styles of the narrative literature in Bingyin and New Mongolia,as well as the discourse system centered on "Enlightenment","revolution","salvation" and "nation",aims to glimpse the specific roles and contributions of modern Mongolian Periodical Media in condensing Mongolian cultural consciousness, promoting the transformation of Mongolian social concepts and promoting modern Mongolian literature. The editorial groups of Bingyin and New Mongolia were the enlighteners of modern Mongolian schools, societies and newspapers first, and then gradually assumed the role of enlighteners in Mongolian society. The development of literary creation and the wide spread of their works not only received the support of enlightened Mongols from all walks of life in modern times, but also extended the social mission of Mongolian cultural groups in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The narrative literature works of Bingyin and New Mongolia not only carry the discussion of outlook on life, friendship, love and money, but also reflect the special cultural environment and the huge survival dilemma faced by the Mongolian and Han people in the Republic of China. They also reflect the complex social problems such as the social poverty, excessive taxes and levies, the conflict between the old and the new ideas, and the heavy enslavement and oppression of the various forces of the Yellow religion system, the Mongolian and Han bureaucrats, the oppression of Japanese imperialism.Bingyin and New Mongolia and other Mongolian folk journals carry the dual media mission of enlightening and recording history in the process of Mongolian modern social transformation, which not only has a positive impact on the formation of Mongolian modern ethnic consciousness, but also has a positive impact on the construction of the whole Chinese national community consciousness.
