The word "democracy" is the first to be applied in the field of politics,and in the field of education,the promotion of democratic thought has become a consensus.As a democratic centralism country,many of our educational ideas,such as the equality of teachers and students,the democratic management of the school,and the all-inclusive education,serve as the basis of the legitimacy of the democratic thought.The President of Xi Jinping has made an effort to make every child enjoy a fair and high-quality education and to pay attention to the cultivation of the student's democratic consciousness.The democracy in education has become the focus of the state's attention.Therefore,it is very practical to probe into the democratic thought contained in the textbook.The cultivation of knowledge is essential.As a first-line primary school English teacher,it is found that the contents of primary school English textbooks contain democratic ideas,which promote the cultivation of primary school students' democratic consciousness.In order to give primary school students more room for independent thinking,encourage students to have their own thinking about the primary school English textbooks.Primary school English teachers also find that the content of primary school English textbooks is gradually adjusting to give teachers more autonomous thinking and more in-depth attention to teachers' education and teaching,but also more for students and teachers' practical consideration.At the same time,it also pays attention to the difference of teaching level in different regions,and embodies more democratic thoughts.Enable teachers to teach The craftsman turned into an educator.The democratic thought of primary school English textbook is extending and deepening,which promotes the development of primary school English.However,in the teaching practice,some teachers have not fully understood the democratic thought reflected in this content,have not consciously transmitted the democratic ideological message to the students,and failed to adopt appropriate methods to enable the students to embody democracy in their learning process.Thedemocratic ideas reflected in the primary English textbooks themselves are rebellious.This study makes an in-depth analysis of the standard formulation of primary school English textbooks,the selection and arrangement of text content,the editing of language,text and picture,the content of cultural thoughts,the use of relevant choices and the interpretation of teachers and students.The democratic thoughts in all aspects of textbooks are embodied.Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the practice of democratic thought teaching in primary school English textbooks,this paper analyzes the reasons and influences,and puts forward some improvement strategies from the aspects of teaching design,implementation and evaluation.The full text is divided into five parts:Part one: introduction.This paper introduces the origin and background of the research,analyzes and combs the existing literature review,and defines the core concept.Then it establishes the research contents and methods of this paper,and summarizes the theoretical and practical significance of this study.Part two: makes a thorough analysis of the democratic thought of English teaching books in primary schools,from the aspects of standard,content selection and typesetting,language,text,picture editing,culture,thought and content.The school chooses the use aspect and the teacher and the student interpretation aspect chooses the partial edition primary school English textbook as the case study and carries on the questionnaire investigation to the student and the teacher.Part three: discusses the problems in the practice of democratic thought teaching in primary school English textbooks,and analyzes its causes and effects.Part four: on the basis of the third part,from the perspective of teachers and students and combining with the facts,this paper makes a study on improving the practice of democratic thinking teaching in primary school English textbooks.Part five: summary and prospect of this study.
