Liszt,as one of the outstanding representatives in the romantic period of music, made a great contribution to the piano music. The title music has reached a new level in Liszt’s creation, and it is also a concentrated expression of his artistic thought. The concert Etude "Sigh" is an important work he created during the Weimar period, this song is different from his early enthusiasm for the glamour, and the more delicate emotional depiction is more reflected in the precipitation of his artistic thoughts. This work, which contains profound cultural connotations and powerful artistic appeal, has also become a model of the form of title music, and thus has a high value of artistic research. This article compares the performance versions of Sigh with Mark Andrew Hamelin and Valentina Lisissa. The aim is to analyze the performance of the same works by different performers, and to summarize their respective performance characteristics,so that we can bring more inspiration to the interpretation of the diversity of Liszt’s works and the future teaching creation.
